We are Results Driven, We Help you Heal your Body so you can Enjoy Life

In 2006 Paul and Gayleen Taitoko returned to the Waikato. They brought the CAPE Physio brand from Hawke’s Bay to Te Awamutu. Soar Physio has taken over from CAPE Physio Te Awamutu from April 2014.

The Staff, Location and focus on patients will remain the same. The name “soar” was decided after months of searching and thinking about what we want for our patients. We want them to train, play and live. We want them to soar.

This may be walking again, driving again, getting back on the court or beating a personal best. Whatever your goal is we are here to help!

massagetherapy

Massage Therapy

Massage is known as one of the oldest healing traditions. One of the immediate benefits of massage is a feeling of deep relaxation and calm. This occurs because massage prompts the release of endorphins, the brain chemicals that produce feelings of wellbeing. Levels of stress hormones such as adrenalin are also reduced.

exerciseprogram

Exercise Programmes

Each person is unique, mentally and physically. Their learning abilities and development rates will differ from that of others.  To cater for these differences, we can create a programme that is tailored to an individual’s needs and sporting requirements. An initial assessment is crucial to determine the current level of fitness and body conditioning.

jointpain

Joint Pain Treatment

We will provide a thorough assessment of your affected joint(s) and the surrounding muscles and nerves to form an accurate diagnosis. This may involve organising further tests such as x-rays and bone density scans to confirm the degree of arthritic changes. We then use a range of clinically proven techniques to relieve pain and improve mobility.

kinesio

Kinesio & Rigid Taping

Kinesiology tape differs from other types of strapping tape in both form and function. Most types of strapping tape are non-elastic, and are wrapped tightly around an injured joint or muscle to provide rigid support and restrict movement. They can only be worn for short periods of time, after which they must be removed to restore movement.

rehab

Surgical Rehabilitation

We understand both the physical and mental stress associated with any surgery. Our team has worked with large numbers of patients and assisted them back to a full functional pain free life. We also over a comprehensive prehab program to prepare you for your surgery. This will help to optimize your outcome.

sportinjury

Sports Injuries

Every athlete has a personal best, we help them become the best they can be. Of course everyone picks up their share of strains, sprains and tears along the way, but our hands on care works to ensure that athletes can be back in action as soon as possible, while our performance and injury prevention program works to push them to the next level.
